A Month of Markets, Art and Gratitude in Glasgow

Reflecting on a joyful month of creating and connecting
June was packed with creativity, colour and connection. From rain-soaked markets to sunny community days, your support has made every moment meaningful. Whether you visited a stall, stopped to chat, or simply followed along online, I’m so thankful.
Pet portrait markets across Glasgow
My month began at Park Lane Market at SWG3, where the wind gave my display a bit of a challenge, but the turnout was fantastic. It reminded me how much people value local artists and handmade work.
Next came Bungo in the Back Lanes, organised by the Strathbungo Society. The sunshine showed up, and so did hundreds of friendly faces. It’s one of my favourite Glasgow markets, local, personal and filled with lovely conversations.
Later in the month I joined Park Lane at The Social Hub, a new venue for me. The feedback on my pastel pencil artwork and bespoke pet portraits was so encouraging.
New solo exhibition now open in Shawlands
A huge highlight this month was setting up my second solo art exhibition at Honey Trap Bakery, right here in Shawlands, Glasgow. The show features a curated collection of hand-drawn custom pet portraits, all created with pastel pencils. If you’re nearby, pop in for a coffee and see the collection. Originals and fine art prints are available to purchase.
The exhibition runs until September.
A bestselling new product: pet portrait fridge magnets
I also launched a small but mighty product: fridge magnets featuring miniature versions of my pet portraits. They’ve been flying off the table at markets. Affordable, fun, and full of character, they’re a perfect gift for dog lovers, cat people, or fans of unique Glasgow art.
Thank you for supporting handmade and local
Every kind word, commission, and print sale helps me grow as a self-taught artist. I pour hours into each piece to make sure your pet's personality shines through. Whether you’re after a bespoke drawing, a meaningful gift, or just browsing Glasgow’s art scene, I appreciate you being part of this journey.
Coming soon: limited edition print with a twist
I’m currently working on a limited edition pet portrait print with a twist, and subscribers to my email list will get first access. If you’d like to be the first to know when it drops, join my newsletter.
