A Year of Hand Drawn Pet Portraits in Glasgow. A Thank You and I’m Back Online!

Heya!

As of the 8th of January 2026 (2026?!), I’m officially back online and easing gently into the new year!

Before I dive straight back into pastel pencils, portraits, and cups of coffee, I wanted to take a moment to look back and say a very heartfelt thank you.

Last year was honestly one of the busiest and most exciting years I’ve had as a Glasgow-based artist creating hand drawn pet portraits. From markets to exhibitions and seeing my artwork appear in some really lovely places, it’s been a year full of moments I’ll never forget.

A Year of Hand Drawn Pet Portraits and Art Shows in Glasgow

One of the biggest highlights was exhibiting my work across Glasgow and beyond. I was lucky enough to show my hand drawn pet portraits and art prints at Gusto and Relish, Bakery Honeytrap, and Bossa Glasgow, where my work is still on show now.

Seeing my portraits hanging on walls in spaces I already loved felt surreal. Each piece is drawn by hand using pastel pencils and graphite, slowly building layers of colour and texture to capture personality, humour, and those little quirks that make each pet unique.

Markets, Exhibitions, and Local Stockists

Another huge milestone was having my art prints stocked at Odd Dogs Store. Knowing people could pop in and pick up a print as a thoughtful gift for a pet lover meant so much, especially around Christmas.

I also had the joy of showing my artwork at Craigbank Farm during lambing season and pumpkin picking. There’s something really special about seeing bespoke pet art displayed in such lively, welcoming spaces.

And then there were the markets. So many markets. They’re one of my favourite parts of what I do. I love watching people stop, smile, and sometimes burst out laughing when they spot a Jack Russell with a pint of Tennents or a cat next to a bottle of Bucky. Those moments remind me exactly why I love making this work.

Thank You for Supporting a Small Glasgow Artist

Behind the scenes, I want to say a big thank you to Deadly Digital for always producing my art prints so beautifully. The quality, care, and colour reproduction they bring to every print helps my artwork look exactly how it should.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who’s supported my small business this year. Whether you commissioned a bespoke pet portrait, bought an art print, shared my work, or sent a kind message, it genuinely means the world. Being trusted to draw your pets, your memories, and your funny little ideas is such a privilege.

This really is a dream come true, and it wouldn’t be possible without your support.

Back Online and January Pet Portrait Commission Slots Available

I’m now back online and back in the studio, and I currently have a small number of hand drawn pet portrait commission slots available for January.

If you’re looking for a meaningful gift, a piece of wall art, or a portrait that celebrates your pet’s personality with a little humour, this is a lovely time to commission something special. Each portrait is created slowly and carefully using pastel pencils and graphite, building up layers of colour and texture to capture expression, character, and charm.

You can explore my portfolio, browse available art prints, or get in touch via the contact page to chat about commissioning your own portrait.

Thank you, as always,
Hannah
