6 Months in Review of My Pet Portrait Business

Hello, fellow pet lovers!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been six months since I launched my pet portrait business in Glasgow. Your incredible support has made this journey possible, and I can’t thank you enough for being part of this adventure with me. From personalised pet portrait commissions to craft markets and events, it’s been a whirlwind, and I’m beyond excited to share some updates and reflections as I head into the next chapter!

A Whirlwind First Six Months as a Glasgow Custom Pet Portrait Artist

These first six months as a professional pet portrait artist have been amazing. I’ve learned so much, especially during my first Christmas season:

  • Created 17 custom Christmas pet portraits—bringing pets’ personalities to life as special gifts

  • Participated in three Christmas markets and sold over 200 Christmas cards—seeing the joy my pet art brought to so many was incredible

  • Navigated quieter months in January and February, learning how to stay resilient during slower periods

  • Learned valuable printing lessons—mixing designs helped smooth the printing process, and I’m ready to tackle the next season with this knowledge!

Most importantly, I’ve learned that I truly can do this. I’m living my dream by creating unique pet art and connecting with people and their beloved pets every day.

Event Highlights: Where I’ve Been & What’s Next

It’s been a joy showcasing my custom pet portraits in person! Here’s a quick recap of recent events:

  • Wunderbar, West End, Glasgow – Sunday 23rd March: A fantastic event in Glasgow’s West End, perfect for meeting fellow pet lovers and sharing my artwork.

  • Park Lane Market, Shawlands – Sunday 30th March: A wonderful market for unique Mother’s Day gifts, where I met many excited customers.

  • Craigbank Farm Lambing Tours, Ayrshire: A fun experience bringing my pet prints and cards to farm visitors and animal lovers.

Father’s Day is Just Around the Corner – Commission a Custom Pet Portrait!

Father’s Day falls on Sunday, 16th June, and what better way to celebrate than with a personalised pet portrait? Whether it’s a cherished dog, cat, or any special pet, a custom pet portrait makes a unique and meaningful gift.

How to Commission Your Pet Portrait:

  1. Browse my portfolio to see the style and detail I bring to every portrait.

  2. Send me your favourite photo (or several) of your pet.

  3. Choose your preferred style and size for your bespoke pet drawing.

  4. Once your order is confirmed, I’ll begin creating your portrait and keep you updated throughout the process.

Order early to ensure your custom pet portrait is ready in time for Father’s Day. Gift vouchers are also available for anyone wanting to give the gift of pet art.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

With spring in full bloom, I’m excited for what’s to come. I will continue creating custom pet portraits alongside new art prints and greeting cards that celebrate the joy our pets bring. I also have more events and markets lined up and can’t wait to meet more of you in person!

Thank you so much for your ongoing support—it truly means the world. Here’s to more pet art, more connections, and more wonderful moments ahead!

See you soon,
